what a night (Hawks vs. Lightning)

it's late, I have to do some stuff to iPhoto before it'll let me upload my big batch of photos from Sunday's game, I've already had an hourlong late-night phone call with the one friend I really talk to (in non-Internet ways) about hockey (and who lives across the country. arrghh, need a Chicagoan), so I wasn't gonna try to do a game recap tonight but when I do it'll be...spirited. (will this be before or after I write about the Penguins game? shut up!) so for now, the first highlight of the game, the Patrick Kane bobblehead I got when I showed up:

a proud addition to the collection of stupid stuff I have on my computer. (yes, the computer I'm blogging from right now! where the magic happens!) except I find bobbleheads kind of creepy so I'll probably move it soon. I've never gotten a baseball bobblehead despite going to MLB ballparks in 14 different cities. hell, I've gotten more Blackhawks giveaways in two months of games than two years of baseball games.

When I first looked at that I thought "Why does Patrick Kane have a pipe?" Then I realized it was his mouthguard. Duh!

Hey, I found your blog through...well, through a series of links. (I think I started on Puck Daddy? and then I went to Blackhawk Up and saw you posted on there too)

If you want another Chicagoan to talk to about hockey, I'm more than willing! (Although I live in the northern suburbs, not the city - sadly) I'm basically a half-newbie when it comes to hockey - my friend got me into it back when I was in jr high but then I never really paid attention to it until I moved back here after grad school. So now I'm re-learning the game of hockey & just generally becoming obsessive as well. :D

I love that he has the mouthguard sticking out - because he always does it!

Yes, the mouthguard really makes this work! No one's curious about why I have a Concerta (similar to Ritalin) stapler? It's from a dollar store down the block.
ena: Thanks! I could be in touch over gmail when I re-learn what the password on my new account is there (oops). I do try to comment a lot of places because I don't know how to publicize myself otherwise...
